“Continual Mastery of Self…Don’t worry about what everybody else is doing. Focus on being the BEST you can be.”
Back in 2008 while living in WACO, TX…I put all my eggs in one basket of someone who owned a company and talked a great game. In my mind, I was going to get rich. He basically promised me the world. I was a few months away from moving to Dallas. Approximately 3 days away from moving, with $67.00 dollars in my pocket on what was supposedly was going to be a BIG payday for me and launch me on the path to wealth and riches. He started to act funny and disappeared on me.
What I learned from that was that I saw “Red Flags” through out this whole process, but I chose to ignore them. Also I didn’t have any legal leeway, because I never signed a contract. We were great friends and I trusted him. So my advice to you would be to always always sign a contract, no matter who it is to protect yourself.
Entrepreneurial AH-HA Moment
While promoting rap artist and living the rock star life style publicly of who I wanted to be, but it wasn’t who I was. I can remember one day passed my mirror and didn’t recognize the man in the mirror. So for the first time in years I looked at myself and ask myself. “Who Are You?” I was living the life publicly of who I wanted to be, but NOT who I was, running from who I was. Then I realized from that moment and decided I could not live my life this way anymore. I have to be happy with who I am. That was my “AH-HA” moment.
